Probleme conectare retea "cable unplugged"

Buna, vreau sa re-aduc la viata un laptop vechi si sa invat Linux. Am instalat Linux Mint Cinnamon 21.3  Kernel 5.15.0-91 si mai tarziu (pe care il acum) 6.5.0-27-generic. Wired PPPOE nu vrea sa mearga, nici LED de la Ethernet port nu se aprinde.  Wi-fi merge rar si foarte incet. Dupa ce am incercat solutii de pe alte threaduri/forumuri (fara succes) am re-instalat LM de pe un USB si dupa boot de pe install media instant s-a activat, dupa re-instalare si reboot iara nu a mers. Multumesc anticipat orice ajutor.
